Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms for data analysis and predictive analytics in a cloud environment.
  • Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure to build scalable data systems and infrastructure.
  • Work with large datasets to perform data cleaning, processing, and transformation tasks.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to design and optimize cloud-based data pipelines.
  • Apply advanced analytics techniques to extract insights and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Optimize cloud resources for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Develop cloud-native solutions for data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Monitor and improve data system performance in the cloud environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data science and cloud computing.
  • Assist with data visualization and reporting using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or custom solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of data-driven strategies and decision-making processes across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a strong understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services, such as AWS S3, Google BigQuery, or Azure Data Lake.
  • Strong knowledge of data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation techniques.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization platforms.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to solve complex business problems with data science solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluency in both French and English (spoken and written).

Preferred Skills:

  • Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Scientist Associate).
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices for cloud infrastructure and data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies in a data science environment.
  • Experience with data governance, security, and privacy practices in the cloud.
