Ensure compliance with security standards, regulations, and best practices, including GDPR and ISO 27001.
Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation for cloud operations.
Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management to identify and mitigate security risks in cloud environments.
Implement and manage security controls such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, firewalls, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
Monitor and respond to security incidents in cloud environments, using advanced security tools like SIEM and intrusion detection systems.
Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing on cloud systems to identify vulnerabilities and ensure continuous improvement.
Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security into cloud-based applications and workflows.
Lead incident response efforts related to cloud security breaches or data loss.
Stay up to date with the latest cloud security technologies, trends, and best practices to proactively address potential risks.
Provide training and guidance to internal teams on cloud security principles and practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in cloud security or related roles within cybersecurity or IT.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their security features.
Experience with cloud security tools, technologies, and frameworks (e.g., CASB, SIEM, DLP, IAM).
Hands-on experience with network security and cloud-based firewalls, intrusion detection, and prevention systems.
Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and regulations, including GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2.
Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate security processes.
Experience with container security and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and integration of security into CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with Zero Trust security models and implementation in cloud environments.
