Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data scientists to deliver data-driven solutions and insights.
  • Develop and implement data science strategies that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the design and execution of advanced analytics projects, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across business units to understand their needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Mentor and coach data scientists, providing guidance on techniques, methodologies, and career development.
  • Develop and maintain machine learning models, ensuring their scalability, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, balancing the needs of the business with the capabilities of the data science team.
  • Communicate data science findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in data science, AI, and machine learning, and apply them to business challenges.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the data science team.
  • Ensure proper documentation of models, processes, and methodologies used in the team’s projects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a data scientist, with a strong track record of leading data science teams.
  • Experience required is 5 to 8 years.
  • Expertise in machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling, and data mining techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
  • Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud computing environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, D3.js).
  • Familiarity with data engineering principles and ETL processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Fluency in English (Luxembourgish, French, or German is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with advanced machine learning techniques (e.g., deep learning, NLP, reinforcement learning).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
  • Knowledge of business strategy and the ability to align data science initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Industry certifications in data science or machine learning (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer).
