Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor and maintain the organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues related to connectivity, hardware, and software.
• Support network security measures, including the configuration of firewalls and VPNs.
• Conduct regular network monitoring to identify and address performance or security issues.
• Assist with the documentation of network configurations, system updates, and changes.
• Collaborate with senior IT staff to implement network upgrades and improvements.
• Provide basic technical support to end-users and respond to network-related inquiries.
• Perform routine network maintenance and updates as necessary to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Good troubleshooting skills with a desire to learn and develop in a hands-on role.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
• Basic knowledge of cloud networking technologies (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus but not required.
