Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable and reliable network architectures to meet the organization’s needs.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network solutions support current and future business goals.
• Lead the planning and deployment of network systems, including LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and cloud-based solutions.
• Evaluate existing network infrastructure and recommend improvements to optimize performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and enforce network security standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
• Oversee the implementation of network changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Conduct network capacity planning and forecasting to ensure future growth and scalability.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior network engineers and administrators.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate, select, and implement network hardware and software solutions.
• Maintain network documentation, including configurations, procedures, and system architectures.
• Stay updated with the latest networking technologies, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Architect or in a similar network engineering/design role.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
• Strong experience in designing and implementing network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN).
• Expertise in network security practices and technologies (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption).
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Familiarity with network automation and orchestration tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE), or other relevant certifications.
• Knowledge of SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and network virtualization.
• Experience with large-scale network deployments and data center environments.
• Familiarity with network performance optimization tools and techniques.
