Key Responsibilities:

• Automate network configurations, deployments, and monitoring using scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Collaborate with network engineers to identify areas for automation and implement network management solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions to streamline network operations and reduce manual interventions.
• Develop and manage APIs to interact with network devices and platforms for automation purposes.
• Work on network orchestration tools and integrate them into existing network infrastructures.
• Monitor network performance, identify issues, and automate network recovery processes.
• Ensure the security and integrity of network automation systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network automation issues, ensuring minimal downtime and system disruptions.
• Continuously evaluate and improve automation tools and processes to enhance network operations efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (network engineers, software developers, IT teams) to ensure effective integration of automation systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance for network automation initiatives across the organization.
• Document network automation processes and create detailed reports on performance and optimization results.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Proven experience in network automation, scripting, and network management.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ansible, or similar.
• Familiarity with network automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Cisco DNA Center, Juniper Contrail).
• Experience with APIs and integrating automation with network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls).
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions and automation (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve project goals.
• Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization).
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar are a plus.
