Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy scalable network solutions (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and firewalls).
• Monitor network performance and ensure network availability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot network problems, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
• Implement network security measures, including firewall configuration, VPN management, and intrusion detection/prevention.
• Maintain and upgrade network infrastructure to meet current and future demands.
• Manage network documentation and ensure it is up-to-date.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement new technologies or resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company security policies.
• Plan and execute network maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Provide support for network-related issues and technical assistance to team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, or similar).
• Knowledge of network security best practices, including firewall management, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).
• Familiarity with cloud-based networking solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or CompTIA Network+.
• Experience with network virtualization and SDN (Software-Defined Networking).
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (Python, Ansible) for network automation.
