Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation and configuration of network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues related to hardware, software, and configuration.
• Monitor network performance and assist with routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
• Assist in managing network infrastructure, ensuring it is running efficiently and securely.
• Provide basic technical support for end-users, assisting with network-related issues and resolving inquiries.
• Help with the management and documentation of network configurations and assets.
• Perform routine updates and patches for network devices.
• Collaborate with senior network engineers and IT staff to implement network upgrades and improvements.
• Participate in network security efforts by assisting with firewall configuration, VPN setup, and other security-related tasks.
• Assist in setting up and configuring network monitoring tools to track performance and identify potential issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Familiarity with networking hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Good troubleshooting skills with a willingness to learn and develop in the field.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented and able to document technical processes effectively.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to solve technical problems.

Preferred Skills:

• Basic knowledge of network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
• Familiarity with network security concepts (e.g., firewalls, VPNs).
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are a plus but not required.
