Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Ruby-based applications and web services.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code to ensure scalability and high performance.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.
• Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprints and contributing to project planning.
• Keep up to date with the latest Ruby and web development trends.

Tech Skills Needed

• Ruby: Strong experience with Ruby on Rails or Sinatra for web application development.
• Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
• Databases: Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite.
• API Development: Knowledge of RESTful API design and integration.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Testing: Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and testing frameworks like RSpec or Minitest.
• Deployment: Experience with deploying and managing Ruby applications on cloud platforms like AWS or Heroku.
• Agile Methodology: Understanding of Agile workflows and iterative development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 2 years of professional experience working with Ruby, preferably in web development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in English (Swedish is a plus but not required).

Preferred Qualifications
