Role Overview
As a Senior Cloud Support Engineer, you will be at the forefront of delivering exceptional technical support for our cloud solutions. You’ll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the optimal performance of cloud environments. Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide advanced technical support to clients for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Cloud Infrastructure Optimization:
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for cost optimization and scalability.
- Assist in designing and implementing robust cloud architectures.
- Customer Engagement:
- Act as a point of escalation for critical issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and recommend tailored solutions.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, developers, and product teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Continuous Learning and Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest trends in cloud technology and incorporate them into best practices.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process and technology improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or support roles, with a focus on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, virtualization, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and system design.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional), Azure Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Engineer.
- Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
Salary and Benefits
- Annual Salary: €70,000 - €90,000 (depending on experience and qualifications).
