Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy SDN solutions to improve network flexibility, scalability, and performance.
• Implement and manage SDN controllers and network orchestration tools (e.g., OpenDaylight, ONOS).
• Work with cloud networking platforms to integrate SDN solutions with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Collaborate with network engineers to enhance network automation and optimize traffic management.
• Configure and manage network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) to integrate with SDN architecture.
• Implement and monitor network virtualization technologies (e.g., VXLAN, GRE, and MPLS).
• Troubleshoot and resolve SDN-related issues to ensure smooth network performance.
• Continuously evaluate and improve SDN systems to support evolving business requirements.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop network policies and optimize the overall network performance.
• Research and apply the latest developments in SDN technologies to enhance the organization's infrastructure.
• Document SDN architecture, processes, and configurations.
• Provide training and support to other team members and stakeholders regarding SDN technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Proven experience with Software-Defined Networking (SDN) technologies and solutions.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN).
• Experience with SDN controllers and platforms (e.g., OpenDaylight, ONOS, VMware NSX, Cisco ACI).
• Experience with network virtualization and cloud-based networking platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, etc.).
• Knowledge of network security practices and SDN security models.
• Experience with network monitoring and performance optimization tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluency in English (French or Luxembourgish is a plus).

Preferred Skills:

• Certifications in SDN (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, VMware VCP, or similar).
• Familiarity with container orchestration and network functions virtualization (NFV).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, SaltStack).
• Strong understanding of QoS, MPLS, and advanced routing protocols.
