UI/UX Design Manager – Copenhagen

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the UI/UX design team, promoting creativity, collaboration, and innovation
  • Drive the design strategy for digital products, ensuring user-centered design principles are applied
  • Oversee the end-to-end design process, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design
  • Develop and maintain a design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and persona development to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, engineers, marketing) to ensure alignment and feasibility of design solutions
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to junior and mid-level designers
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages innovation and continuous learning
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design to drive innovation and improvements in design processes
  • Ensure that designs meet technical requirements, are implemented effectively, and adhere to best practices
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and timelines

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of managing and leading design teams
  • Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools
  • Extensive knowledge of user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design principles
  • Strong experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
  • Expertise in design systems, responsive design, and scalable design solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct user research, usability testing, and create personas
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a design team
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design ideas to stakeholders
  • Experience working in agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in English (Danish is a plus but not required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in motion design or interactive UI animations
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS (for design handoff and collaboration with developers)
  • Experience with design accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
  • Experience working with enterprise-level design systems or large-scale product design
  • Familiarity with data-driven design and user analytics
